A Great Choice

Published by geekstarist at 4:52 pm under sports Edit This

In the World of sports, there is rarely a story that you read that makes you think of all of the positive things that can happen from just one person. It seems like every story you read is about a bad teammate, poor sportsmanship, or someone’s legal issue’s.

Every now and then we get to write about a great story that gives us all hope of athletes who do the right thing and become great role models. At the College level, there is always stories of athletes excepting money and planning their exits into the professional leagues.

Enter: Myron Rolle. Rolle is an exceptional story in itself. He was just a regular student who made the most of his opportunity at Florida State. Rolle is an potential early round NFL Draft prospect that can enter this year and make millions.

Rolle has been outstanding on the field as a starting Safety, but it is in the classroom where he has been making the most noise. Myron Rolle was awarded the Rhodes scholarship and will not enter this years draft to attend Oxford.

Rolle has to be one of the greatest examples of gaining the most out of your abilities, How many times have you heard of a player saying “hold on” to the NFL for education? What makes this even better is that Rolle is pursuing the medical field instead of the football field.

It is a great story, and a great choice for today’s top story, and I personally can not wait to hear about the day he graduates and then enters the draft. What a great player to add to your team, Rolle is not only a good Safety, but an Rhodes Scholar.
