Game Over

Published by geekstarist at 3:46 pm under sports Edit This

Dallas Cowboys CB Adam Jones, formerly “Pacman” Jones, is once again out of the NFL because of his off-the-field behavior. After an altercation on October 7th involving Jones and one of his team-appointed bodyguards at a hotel party according to reports.

What came next is really at fault to Jones’ reputation, and that was a media firestorm waiting to see what, if any, action would be taken by Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones decided against punishing “Pacman” and he probably knew that the axe was about to fall on “Pacman” from the NFL.

Jerry Jones figured right, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell informed “Pacman” tuesday that he will be suspended indefinitely from the league. Goodell had just reinstated “Pacman” six weeks earlier after he served a suspension of over a year.

This new suspension will be evaluated in 4 weeks by Goodell to determine the fate of “Pacman” but the Cowboys will have to move forward without him. It is very likely that “Pacman” will not be apart of the Cowboys if/when he is reinstated to the NFL.

“Pacman” has not been very good on the field this season and was obviously struggling to gather his speed back to form which gained him attention as a rising star. “Pacman” was given a second chance on one of the biggest stages in the NFL with The Dallas Cowboys.

This suspension was due to an alcohol-related fight with one of “Pacmans” bodyguards who obviously were not doing their job because “Pacman” has four of them all appointed by the Cowboys organization. “Pacman” was warned to keep his nose clean by Goodell and he could not for 2 months.

“Pacman” needs to attain help or just disappear from the NFL for good because he continues to give the league and himself a bad name. This probably will not end “Pacmans” career in the NFL, he will get another chance in another organization, but the question is will he make the most of it?
