Wondering as to what the title means of this blog? There is no connection to any top sports story of the day, that is usually covered here at this site. The title also holds no connection to any top story of any kind outside of the sports world.

Well, this is the Special 100th blog posted on the Sportsblogger site, and I would like to send some special thanks today. As a younger writer/blogger, it is rare that my opinions can matter to anyone else outside my age bracket, but you would be mistaken just like I was.

The readers are intent on a good fact filled story, or a story that keeps their interest even if it is a flat out funny story. So obviously, the first thanks goes out to the crazy world of sports and its stars/superstars who make finding material to write about easy.

A major thanks goes to Brett Favre, who was the single driving force through the months of July and August when sports slows like freeway traffic on the 101 here in Los Angeles. Brett kept me afloat, long enough to kill the time between the NFL regular season and NBA Finals.

At that time, MLB regular season was in the dry months before the the Playoff push and the actual Playoffs which do not start until October. So Favre saved Sportsblogger, which was as great for me as it was great for the New York Jets, who have since changed their name to the New York Bretts.

Another important figure in the 100 blogs here at Sportsblogger is easily The Oakland Raiders organization. Al  Davis has tore apart the team faster than you can say “Sportsblogger”, and had the coolest and craziest press conference since the days of Mike Tyson.

Mr.Davis has kept the NFL and myself as entertained as possible with his dangling of Lane Kiffin by a thread just to watch him squirm. Davis really believed the words he was jabbering on about, he even had a whole presentation to prove his cause, Thanks again Al.

I can’t sit here and hand out thanks and praise without thanking the readers of Sportsblogger for letting me give you my opinions for the day. It is because this is my job that I write this blog. Really, thanks for reading to all my friends, family, well wishers, sports fans, Sportsblogger fans, and anyone else who reads this blog.

  • Well done, and I think congratulations are in order. The century mark is certainly a milestone you should be proud of. Onward and upward.

100 in the case of the hapless Cubs means the number of years that have gone by without a championship appearance. A dubious distinction Chicago fans will have to endure yet another year.

    GO DODGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
