USA Basketball, Kyle Busch, and Brock Lesnar
Saturday was highlighted by UFC 87, with the main event of Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre vs Jon Fitch. The fight was really dominated by St-Pierre and ended in a unanimous decision in favor of the Champion, which took place in Minneapolis, MN.
The event, however, was really headlined by former WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar who made his second trip into the Octagon after unsuccessful debut. Lesnars opponent was MMA Veteran Heath Herring, and from the time the first punch was landed Lesnars athletic ability helped him dominate Herring throughout the fight.
This was impressive due to the fact that it was Lesnars 3rd MMA bout and Herring was once an opponent of some of the best Heavyweights in the world. Lesnar should be on his way to a title shot if he can have one more dominating fight like he did on Saturday night.
USA Mens Basketball got their first try at Olympic redemption as they crushed the Chinese National team 101-70 this morning. Dwyane Wade was the leading scorer on the team putting up 19 points.
As a side note, USA struggled to hit outside shots but still dominated the host country. President Bush was also in the stands to watch USA.
Once again Kyle Busch has won a NASCAR Sprint Cup race which keeps him in first place in the points race and moves his total wins to eight. Also Busch has won a total 16 races in NASCARs Truck, Nationwide, and Sprint Cup this season.
